Cookie and Josef are brother and sister who have always been inseparable. Cookie tries to resemble Josef in an attempt to perpetuate their childhood bond. Josef escapes Cookie’s imposed claustrophobia when he finds a lover in Noga and devotes his attention to her. Cookie, left alone, turns her infantile attempt of imprisoning Josef into a creative project. Milk, play and personal photos all become raw materials that guide the film ultimately lifting Cookie to a sublime state of maturity and new independence.

The film is inspired by the second day of creation, as told in Genesis, where the “upper” water and “lower” water separate, and become sea and sky. The separation from one being into two independent, extreme and strong beings is presented by the siblings and their separation, and is visually represented by passing animated clips, which are made of torn pieces of magazines into shapes of waves, and move, often softly and often in chaos. In the final scene, Cookie is seen tearing up the magazines, revealing she has created them all along and the 2 worlds of the film collide into one.

The siblings relationship is inspired by the “Archimedes crane”, a graph that depicts the “strongest crane” as described in Wittgenstein’s book, "Lectures and Conversations on Aesthetics”. This graph describes a crane that presents “ultra toughness”, and describes this as a “sublime understanding”. This is the understanding Cookie reaches by creating the waves, in which she finds a place that can give her the freedom to be herself. Realizing this understanding comes across in the graph when cookie can be separated from her brother, without being beneath him.
